These issues including new criminal laws, terrorism will be discussed

The major topics that will be discussed in the three-day conference of Directors General of police (DGP) and Inspectors General of police (IGP) starting from january 5 in jaipur include the implementation of three new criminal laws, activities of pro-Khalistan groups and violence in Jammu and Kashmir. Many issues are involved including terrorist attacks. prime minister Narendra Modi will interact with the country's top police officials before addressing the formal session, while Union home minister amit shah will be present throughout the conference, which will have multiple sessions. A Union home Ministry official said that issues related to general elections, cyber crime, Maoist problem and inter-state police coordination are among the other major topics which are expected to be discussed during the meeting.

250 officers of DG-IG rank will be included

Around 250 officers of the rank of director General of police and Inspector General of police will attend the conference at the rajasthan International Center in jaipur, while more than 200 others are also likely to attend it. The home Ministry official said that several officers have been assigned the responsibility of giving presentations on specific topics like counter-terrorism, online fraud, cross-data-border terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, activities of pro-Khalistan groups and left-wing extremism.

There will be detailed discussions on how to data-face all these emerging internal security challenges. The Prime Minister's office (PMO) said that PM Modi will participate in the conference on january 6-7. A PMO statement said that another major agenda of the conference is to prepare a blueprint for the implementation of new criminal laws which will be discussed.
