Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's two village properties were auctioned

In maharashtra, two plots belonging to the family members of fugitive underworld don dawood ibrahim were sold for more than Rs 2 crore in an auction held on Friday. An officer gave this information. The auction was conducted by the competent authority under the Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators (Confiscation of Assets) Act. The official said that a total of four properties located in Mumbke village of Khed tehsil of coastal Ratnagiri district of maharashtra were available for auction, but no bids were made for two of them. He said that for the other two properties, four people and three people bid respectively and only one person bid successfully for both of them. The successful bidder for both properties is the same person, but officials did not disclose his name.

A lawyer from delhi who bid

A person involved in the bidding later told the media that the successful bidder was a lawyer from Delhi. The official said that the highest bid of Rs 3.28 lakh was made for 1730 square meters of agricultural land against the reserve price of Rs 1,56,270. The auction process took place at Aaykar Bhawan in South Mumbai. All the properties are located in Mumbake village of Khed taluka of Ratnagiri. Where 67-year-old Dawood and his siblings spent their early childhood before coming to mumbai in the late 1970s. The auction of these seized agricultural properties was held in mumbai under the Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators (Confiscation of Property) Act, NDPS Act, 1985 and Prohibition of Benami Property Transactions Act, 1998 under the Ministry of Finance, New Delhi. It is believed that Ibrahim, the accused wanted in the case of serial bomb blasts in mumbai in 1993, is in Pakistan.
