Khel Ratna Award to the outstanding sportsman and sportsperson. In that way, the central government has
released the list of players for arjuna Award, Khel Ratna Award, Dronacharya Award, Major Dayan Chand Khel Ratna
Award for the year 2023.
The arjuna Award was announced to 26 sportsmen and women, including Mohammad shami who excelled in the World Cup,
Vaishali who excelled in chess, krishan Bahadur Pathak who excelled in hockey, susheela Chanu who excelled in
hockey. Similarly, Dronacharya Award was given to chess coach R.P. Ramesh from tamil Nadu and Dayan Chand Award
for Lifetime Achievement to Kabaddi player Kavita Selvaraj from tamil Nadu.
It was in this context that the indian Sports Awards were presented today at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi.
President Draupadi Murbu attended the event and honored the sportsmen and women with awards. mohammed shami was
