delhi aam aadmi party (AAP) convenor and Environment minister Gopal Rai on saturday accused the Center of issuing instructions to demolish slums. He said that AAP will campaign against it and protest outside the bjp headquarters. He said that it was decided in the meeting of AAP MLAs that the ‘Save Ghar, Remove BJP’ campaign will start from New delhi on Sunday. Gopal Rai said that AAP will also protest outside the bjp headquarters here on january 21. He said that under the 'Save Ghar, Remove BJP' campaign, AAP leaders will hold public meetings in slums to create awareness against BJP's plan to demolish slums. He alleged that the BJP-led government at the Center has directed various land ownership agencies, especially those under its jurisdiction, to remove slums in Delhi.

The AAP leader further said, “It seems that bjp is bent upon making people homeless in this bitter cold. Before the elections, bjp promises to provide houses to slum dwellers and after the elections, it starts demolishing their houses,” he alleged, in violation of court decisions. Houses are being demolished without any attention to rehabilitation.

Virendra Sachdeva hit back

Hitting back at AAP, bjp said the Arvind Kejriwal-led government has blocked the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in delhi and has failed to allot around 50,000 housing units constructed for slum dwellers. . BJP's delhi unit president Virendra Sachdeva said that AAP leaders are raising such an issue for which the AAP led government is responsible.
