One App for Everything: Indian Railways Super Project!
Indian Railways is planning to launch an all-in-one 'super app' for everything from live train location tracking to ticket bookingSeparate apps are in the works for various features including train status, ticket booking etc. In this context, indian Railways is developing a super app that includes live tracking of train location, train status, ticket booking, complaint registration and other features. The application is available on Android and iOS platforms through their respective app stores.
For the convenience of passengers, irctc offers various services like ticket booking, food ordering and enquiries. App, rail Sarti, indian Railway PNR, National Railway Inquiry System, rail Madad, UTS, Food on Track, etc. are currently using more than 10 apps. indian Railways aims to integrate all these processes.Management of Information technology Systems (IT) of indian Railways under the control of Center for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) has been entrusted with the responsibility of developing the 'Super App'.
Railways will allocate approximately Rs.90 crore for the development and operation of the 'Super App'. Among indian Railways apps, irctc rail Connect emerges as the number one choice, with more than 100 million people downloading the app. It acts as a dedicated platform for booking tickets. Likewise, the UTS app, which offers platform tickets and season passes, has been downloaded and used by more than 10 million people.
