Loot of Rs 8 lakh in Motihari, Finance office employees taken hostage

Fearless criminals are looting in the district to such an extent that even the police have lost their senses. On monday (January 15), miscreants looted about eight lakh rupees in broad daylight from the office of Shriram Finance under nagar police station area. The miscreants, numbering five to six, took the Finance office employees hostage and carried out the robbery. However, one criminal has been caught. He has been handed over to the police.

The miscreants looted for about half an hour

Earlier on sunday night itself, jewelery worth more than Rs 1.25 crore was stolen from a jewelery shop. While the police was busy investigating this case, another incident of robbery took place in broad daylight. Now a robbery has taken place in broad daylight just a few steps away from where the theft took place. The miscreants looted for about half an hour. The figure of looted money could be more or less than eight lakhs. The police are investigating with the branch manager of Shriram Finance to find out the amount that was looted.

Regarding the incident, it is said that when the finance office branch opened on monday morning, after some time about half a dozen armed miscreants arrived. The employee present at the gate was caught and locked in a room with other employees. Tried to get the locker opened by bringing the branch manager out. However, the locker did not open otherwise a major robbery could have taken place. It is estimated that apart from the cash counter, around Rs 8 lakh has been looted along with some other amount. While running away, the miscreants also took the hard disk of the CCTV. While running away after committing a robbery, a bank employee showed courage and caught him. After the information, the city police reached the spot. The miscreant was handed over to the police. At present the police is investigating the matter.
