Now in just 3 years, you can get citizenship in Germany..!!?

For a long time, there has been talk of loosening Germany's citizenship rules and restrictions among expatriates, companies, and political circles. Even before the Russia-Ukraine war, there were talks to relax language restrictions and regulations. In this situation, the German parliament on friday voted 382 to 234 for the new citizenship law relaxations. With this new law amendment, relaxations have been given in terms of foreigners obtaining citizenship in germany and restrictions on dual citizenships have been relaxed. These relaxations allow companies in germany to hire more easily and highly skilled foreign workers.
According to the changes made by the German government, a person can get citizenship after staying in the country for 5 years, similarly, people with special abilities can get citizenship in just 3 years, compared to 8 and 6 years previously. Similarly, if the mother or father of a child born in germany is a foreigner, if someone stays in germany for 5 years, the child can get German citizenship. It is to be noted that earlier in this section, the period of residence of the parents in germany was 8 years for the child to get citizenship.
About 14 percent of Germany's population, or more than 12 million people, are stateless, including 5.3 million who have lived in germany for more than 10 years. With this, German companies are expected to employ more foreigners than usual. Along with this, thousands of people from sri lanka are living in germany and they also have a chance to get citizenship. And while there are several lakhs of indians working in germany, they have a high chance of getting citizenship. It is a jackpot for Indians.
