Prime Minister inaugurates fourth railway line connecting Mathura-Palwal and Chipiyana Budjar-Dadri!!!
According to sources from Delhi, prime minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate development projects worth Rs 19,100 crore in bulandshahr in western Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. The officers provided this information. Officials said Modi will inaugurate the 173-km double-line electrified section of the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) between New Khurja and New Rewari through video conference and flag off goods trains between the two stations.
Meanwhile the officials said this new DFC section is important as it establishes important connectivity between the Western and Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridors. He said that this section is also known for engineering as it has a one kilometer long double-line rail tunnel with high electrification, which is the first of its kind in the world. He said that this tunnel has been designed to operate double-stack container trains seamlessly. This new DFC section will help in improving the operation of passenger trains due to shifting of goods trains on DFC tracks.
Moreover officials said the prime minister will also inaugurate the fourth railway line connecting Mathura-Palwal and Chipiyana Budjar-Dadri sections and several road development projects. He said that these road projects, developed at a total cost of more than Rs 5,000 crore, will improve connectivity and help in economic development in the region. Officials said that other projects that prime minister Modi will inaugurate include indian Oil's Tundla-Gawariya pipeline and 'Integrated Industrial Township (IITGN) in Greater Noida. IITGN has been developed under the Gatishakti project. This township has been developed in an area of 747 acres at a cost of Rs 1,714 crore. It is located near the intersection of east and West DFC with the Eastern Peripheral Expressway in the south and the Delhi-Howrah broad gauge railway line in the east. Officials said the strategic location of IITGN ensures unique connectivity as other infrastructure for multi-modal connectivity exists around the project.
