ED issued first summons to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on 2 November

As per report ED has issued summons to chief minister arvind kejriwal in the delhi Excise Policy case. This is the fifth summons of the central investigating agency ED. Earlier, in four summons, cm kejriwal had not appeared before the agency and had alleged political conspiracy. The Enforcement Directorate has asked aam aadmi party (AAP) national convenor arvind kejriwal to join the questioning on february 2 in connection with the ongoing investigation in the excise policy case.

Meanwhile former delhi Education minister Manish Sisodia, rajya sabha MP sanjay singh have been arrested while summons are being continuously sent to cm kejriwal but he is postponing it every time. Recently, aam aadmi party had also launched a signature campaign to seek people's opinion in delhi, in which it was asked that if kejriwal is jailed, then he should resign or run the government from jail. The first summons was sent to kejriwal on november 2, 2023, and he did not appear, terming it illegal. After this, the second summon was sent on 21st december but no reply was given to it. The third summon was sent on january 3. Even on this summons he did not participate in the interrogation. The fourth summons was again sent on 13 January. In response to this, cm kejriwal said that summons are being sent due to political hatred and agenda.

Recently, cm kejriwal had also alleged that the Center is using every means to arrest him. cm kejriwal had also said that he is not afraid of arrest. cm kejriwal had said in a public meeting in haryana that the central government has left central agencies behind him as if he is a terrorist. He said, “It seems that the biggest terrorist is Arvind Kejriwal. Hold kejriwal, I am not a terrorist. terrorists are those people who have created inflation in the country. There is terror inside every house."
