How many cases in court on Gyanvapi case?
These 5 women are Rakhi Singh, lakshmi devi, Sita Sahu, Manju Vyas and rekha Pathak. The petitioners described the Gyanvapi complex as a part of the kashi vishwanath temple and sought permission to worship Maa Shringar Gauri here. After this the court ordered a survey to be conducted.
What was found in the ASI survey? The survey started on 14 May 2022 in Gyanvapi campus. The Hindu side claimed in the court that during the survey on May 16, Shivalinga was found in the ablution room of the mosque. After this the entire area of the ablutions room was sealed. However, the Muslim side called it not a Shivalinga but a fountain.
The Muslim side also went to the supreme court against the survey, but it did not get any relief from there. The supreme court directed that ASI should conduct the survey in such a manner that there is no breakage. The central government has assured that the survey will be conducted without digging and without demolition. Finally, ASI has submitted its 839-page report to the court. ASI has made a big claim in the survey. He claims that earlier there was a temple in the Gyanvapi complex and the mosque was constructed after demolishing the temple. ASI has also presented many evidences in its report. During the survey, they also found a stone on which the time of construction of the mosque was said to be between 1676-1677. Apart from this, it has been said that the courtyard of the mosque was repaired in 1792-93.
