How important is India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor Project?

Many ports around the world will be added to the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor Project. This project was announced in the G-20 summit held in india in the year 2023.

After the formation of India-Middle east Europe Economic Corridor, it will move forward strongly on the path of trade flow from South east Asia to the Gulf, West Asia and Europe. india will get not only economic but also strategic benefits from this. Apart from this, huge opportunities will be created for india in logistics and transportation sector. This corridor will give india faster and cheaper transit options than it currently has. Which will boost India's trade and exports. Not only this, this corridor will strengthen our position in the region and will allow our companies to participate on an equal footing in the construction of infrastructure. This corridor will also secure the supply chains. Will generate employment and improve trade convenience and accessibility.


Which ports will be included in this project?


Many ports around the world will be added to this project. These ports will be Mundra Port, Kandla Port located in Gujarat, india and jawaharlal nehru Port Trust located in Navi Mumbai. Apart from this, Fujairah, Jebel ali and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates as well as Dammam and Ras Al Khair ports in saudi arabia will be connected. In Europe, Piraeus port of Greece, Haifa port of Israel, Messina in southern italy and Marseille port of france will also be connected under this project. A railway line will connect Fujairah port to saudi arabia (Ghuwaifat and Harad) and Haifa port (Israel) through Jordan.
