Security arrangements have been made at the Tikri data-border before the proposed delhi Chalo march of the protesting farmers. A day earlier on Tuesday, delhi police directed the security personnel deployed at Tikri, Singhu and Ghazipur data-borders to remain alert and conducted exercises on Tuesday. The police took this step a day after the protesting farmers rejected the Centre's proposal to purchase pulses, maize and cotton crops through government agencies at the minimum support price for five years.

In such a situation, two data-border routes between delhi and haryana – Tikri and Singhu were sealed with heavy deployment of police personnel.
