Why did abhishek vote against Manu, why did he join the BJP?
Six congress MLAs, who voted in support of the opposition candidate during the rajya sabha elections in himachal pradesh, joined the bjp on Saturday. All of them have given different reasons for joining the BJP. Rebel MLAs ravi Thakur, Inder Dutt Lakhanpal, chaitanya Sharma, and Devendra Kumar Bhutto said while talking to the media that congress disregards its party workers and elected members. At the same time, Bhutto claimed that the government would soon fall in Himachal.
mla Devender Kumar Bhutto said, “We have left congress and joined bjp so that our state develops under the leadership of PM narendra Modi. We do not want any posts, we have joined the bjp as a worker. congress disregards its party workers and elected MLAs. The government will fall in Himachal Pradesh.
I voted using my right – chaitanya Sharma
Another mla chaitanya Sharma said, “As far as rajya sabha elections are concerned, the right given to us by the Constitution makes every citizen eligible to vote as per their conscience. We only exercised our rights. We voted for a resident of Himachal Pradesh. If a person's thoughts and voice are suppressed, and that person is isolated, it is not only a loss of that person's self-esteem but also a loss of those who elect us. We six MLAs have taken this decision after careful consideration. Inder Dutt Lakhanpal said that the working style of congress has completely collapsed. Neither the high command has any influence nor is there any respect left for the party workers. A person was nominated to the rajya sabha who is known for fighting against the rights of our state in the supreme Court.
mla ravi Thakur also expressed his anger against abhishek Manu Singhvi. He said, “90 percent of the budget of himachal pradesh comes from the Centre. Therefore, keeping in mind my area Lahaul-Spiti, I voted for Harsh Mahajan. Unfortunately, the speaker suspended us without any reason. We were accused of defection even though we had done no such thing.
