TDP Party's Troubles Deepen?
With around 2.5 lakh village and ward volunteers in Andhra Pradesh, most of whom are YSRCP supporters, the party sees an opportunity to reaffirm its commitment to them. YSRCP ministers have indicated that these volunteers are essentially party workers. However, there's uncertainty regarding how the YSRCP will address the issue of increasing volunteers' salaries.
Many within the YSRCP believe that announcing promises regarding volunteer salaries would benefit the party and its hardworking supporters. Volunteers play a crucial role in shaping the perception of the jagan Sarkar among the public, and it's argued that their current salary of Rs 5,000 is inadequate given the rising cost of living. There's a growing consensus that steps need to be taken to ensure that these volunteers, who have sacrificed their jobs for the YSRCP, are appropriately rewarded.
