TDP's Election Bid: Can They Deliver?
Today, the TDP-BJP-Jana Sena alliance unveiled their joint manifesto, aiming to fulfill the aspirations of the future. Chandrababu Naidu announced that the manifesto includes significant increases in social security pensions. Existing pensions for the elderly and widows will be raised from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 4,000, while pensions for the disabled will be increased to Rs. 6,000.
Those who are fully disabled will receive Rs. 15,000 per month, and individuals suffering from kidney and thalassemia diseases will receive Rs. 10,000 per month. Importantly, these new promises will not replace existing schemes but will complement them. Chandrababu also made a groundbreaking announcement that pensions will be extended to BC, SC, ST, and Muslim individuals over 50 years old.
The manifesto is tailored to benefit the poor and middle-class citizens, with promises such as granting 3 cents of land in villages and 2 cents in towns. Those who already possess land titles will receive concrete houses from the government, with construction to be completed promptly.
Efforts will be made to improve the working environment for government employees, including a review of the CPS and GPS policies. Additionally, salary increases will be synchronizedanda better Pay Revision Commission (PRC) will be implemented. The honorarium for volunteers will be raised to Rs. 10,000, and schemes will be introduced for government employees with lower salaries.
Furthermore, steps will be taken towards establishing a pensioners corporation, and old schemes will be revitalized. The alliance is committed to ensuring the well-being of all sections of society and aims to implement these promises effectively for the betterment of the people.
