Adikesawalu's bench has investigated and passed the verdict.The high court has issued detailed guidelines regarding the maintenance of temples and the role of people in Hindu charitable places. Accordingly, people can request the joint commissioners under their respective areas to carry out tillage work in the temples. Cleaning of temple premises, ponds, garden maintenance, painting of doors are permitted. However, devotees are not allowed to do the temple renovation work. Devotees engaged in tillage work have no rights in temple management.The Department of Hindu Religious Charities should carry out periodic inspection of the maintenance works of the temples. The high court has also advised that the renovation works should be done after getting the recommendations of the experts.
