A Taliban spokesman said that Badakhshan, Baghlan, Ghor and Herat provinces were the worst affected provinces. He said the "huge devastation caused by the rains" had caused "significant financial losses." He said that the Taliban government has ordered to mobilize all available resources to rescue people, transport the injured and evacuate the dead.

Meanwhile, the Taliban Defense Ministry issued a statement on saturday saying that the air Force has already started evacuating people in Baghlan and has rescued a large number of people trapped in flooded areas, including 100 injured people in the area. At least 70 people died due to heavy rains and floods in the country in April. About 2,000 houses, three mosques and four schools were also damaged.
