Biometric and App attendance will start - Governor...
Rajasthan governor Kalraj Mishra said in the meeting of the Vice Chancellor Coordination Committee at raj bhavan that the system of biometric/mobile app based attendance in universities will be implemented promptly by May 30. This system will also be implemented in all universities and affiliated colleges in a phased manner. He said that in the newly formed universities, work will be done by forming a committee for properties, liabilities, land, pension and other issues. The concerned district Collector will also participate in this so that the issues related to new universities can be effectively resolved on time. He said that social participation is important. The universities will adopt five villages each and work for their development.
Information about vacant posts
The governor said that he also took information about academic and non-academic vacant posts in universities. He also stressed on taking effective action in a phased manner to fill the vacant posts. During this, as per the provisions of the university Acts, the posts of Registrar and Finance Controller were to be filled by receiving applications through advertisement, provision of additional allowances, incentives etc. to attract administrative officers to fill these posts were also discussed.

He said that in consultation with the industrial houses of the state, the governor directed the universities to work for skill development and in the meeting, the governor also directed to take action till june 30 in the universities where solar energy equipment has not been installed. There has also been a call to start Shramdaan, life skill training in the adopted villages, update the curriculum and implement maximum social utility activities in coordination with the red Cross.
