An encounter took place between police and cow smugglers in Mewat area of Deeg district of rajasthan on sunday (2 June) at around 5 am. During this, 15 rounds of firing took place from the side of police and cow smugglers. In this encounter, a bullet hit the cow smuggler's legs, due to which he got injured. The injured cow smuggler has been referred to Bharatpur district Hospital for treatment. A bullet has also hit the police jeep in the firing. According to the information, the Pahadi police station of Deeg district had received information that cow smugglers have brought cows in a truck to the forest of village Kanwadi. As soon as the information was received, the police formed a team and raided the forest. During the same time, the cow smugglers started firing on the police team. The police also started retaliatory firing on the cow smugglers in self-defense. In the firing, the cow smuggler got shot in the leg. The police immediately took the cow smuggler to the hospital, where the doctors referred him to the district hospital after medical examination.

The cow smuggler was shot in both legs

During this, a bullet hit the police vehicle in the firing done by the cow smugglers. In retaliation, the police also fired at the cow smugglers. In the retaliatory action of the police, a cow smuggler named Jilsaad was shot in both legs. He has been admitted to RBM Hospital in Bharatpur, the rest of the cow smugglers fled while firing at the police.

district Superintendent of police Rajesh meena said that a campaign is being run in view of the incidents of cow smuggling in the Mewat area of Deeg district. Pahari Thana police station Officer Bani Singh along with his team and DAT Team Incharge sultan Singh along with his team had gone to raid. During this time, the police had received information that some cow smugglers were unloading cattle in the forest of Kanwadi village. As soon as the police team reached the spot in the forest, the cow smugglers started firing at the police team. In retaliation, the police also opened fire. During this, one cow smuggler got injured. He has been admitted to the hospital.
