First reaction of PM narendra Modi: "Historical feat..."

On Tuesday, june 4, Modi expressed that people had put their trust in the national democratic alliance (NDA) led by the bharatiya janata party for a third time in the lok sabha elections and that he would continue the good work done in the last decade to keep fulfilling their aspirations. This was Modi's first reaction upon learning of the general election results for the first time on Tuesday. "I bow to the Janata Janardan for this affection and assure them that we will continue the good work done in the last decade to keep fulfilling the aspirations of people," Modi on X.

I also want to thank all of our Karyakartas for their dedication. "Excellent efforts made by them are beyond words," he continued. Exit polls predicted a landslide victory for the saffron party, but an ongoing vote count indicated that the bharatiya janata party was unlikely to win a majority on its own. Modi is still anticipated to win the biggest democratic election in history and be re-elected for a third five-year term. The 73-year-old leader will suffer a severe hit if that trend continues because he has never had to rely on his coalition allies to rule.

It would take the entire day to count the more than 640 million votes cast over the course of six weeks, however, preliminary results could differ. During his ten years in office, narendra modi has changed the political climate in india and popularized Hindu nationalism. Supporters of Modi view him as a strong, self-made leader who has raised India's profile internationally. His detractors and opponents claim that his politics of prioritizing hinduism have fostered intolerance and that the fifth-largest and fastest-growing economy in the world has grown increasingly unequal.
