Chief minister M.K.Stalin today launched the 'Tamil Puthalvan' scheme, which provides Rs.1000 per month to students studying in government schools and enrolling in higher education.On september 5, 2022, chief minister M.K.Stalin launched the ``Pudhumai Penn'' scheme, which provides Rs.1000 per month to female students studying in government schools and government-aided schools.
Through this scheme, 3 lakh girl students are getting Rs.1000 monthly. Also, 64 thousand 231 more female students who studied in government schools joined higher education last year than the previous year.Accordingly, it was announced in the financial report of the current year that the 'Tamil Puthalvan' scheme will be implemented with the aim of increasing the enrollment of government school students in higher education.
In this case, chief minister M.K.Stalin launched the 'Tamil puthalvan' project in coimbatore today. After inaugurating this project, chief minister M.K.Stalin said, “I ordered the money to be paid into your bank account last night. Although many projects are completed daily, a few projects are close to the heart and stand out. That's how the 'Tamilputulavan' project will be.
Like the 'Pudumai Penn' scheme, the 'Tamilputhalvan' scheme is for students. Not even a student should be diverted without pursuing higher education. Everyone should pursue higher education. To create an egalitarian society without poverty. Nothing should stand in the way of education. I am with you to destroy whatever the obstacle is," he said.
Students studying Arts, Science, Law, Engineering, Medicine can benefit from this scheme. A total of 3.28 lakh students have been allocated Rs 360 crore for this scheme.
