Employees are angry over non-declaration of DA and arrears in the state level function organized on Independence Day in Dehra, Himachal Pradesh. Five associations of himachal pradesh secretariat services Employees Union held a meeting in shimla on saturday regarding this. In this meeting, along with DA and arrears payment, other burning issues of the employees were discussed. The secretariat Employees Union demanded the state government to make the pending payment soon. After the secretariat Employees Union, now on Monday, himachal pradesh Forest Department Employees Federation has also raised the demand for payment of pending DA and arrears.

Himachal Pradesh Forest Department Employees Federation President Prakash Badal said that the pending payment of employees should be made as soon as possible. He said that many top officials are trying to mislead chief minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. The chief minister is being advised to cut the salaries and allowances of the employees. He said that the state government should pay the DA and arrears of revised scale of the employees as soon as possible. Prakash Badal said that some IAS officers and people around the chief minister are misleading him. If the salaries and allowances of employees are cut at the behest of the officers, then it will not be right.


Government employees are like my family members - cm Sukhu


Earlier on Sunday, chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the previous bjp government did not have the courage to take tough decisions to strengthen the economy of the state. They waived the electricity and water bills of rich families only to gain political benefits. If this process of distributing free things had continued in this manner, then the debt per person would have reached two lakh rupees.


'Government employees are like my family members'

The chief minister said that despite the dire economic condition of the state, the state government has given seven percent dearness allowance to the employees and this year arrears will be given to 28 thousand pensioners above the age of 75 years. chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that government employees are like my family members. It will take six months to stabilize the economy of the state.
