Rain likely in Tamil Nadu till May 29: Meteorological Department

The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) has informed that light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places in tamil Nadu today and tomorrow. The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in chennai has   forecast light to moderate rain at isolated places over tamil Nadu and puducherry and Karaikal today.
 

The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) has forecast that the sky condition is likely to be generally cloudy in chennai and its suburbs for the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places over tamil Nadu, puducherry and Karaikal from 25th to 29th.

Warning to fishermen
Squally weather with wind speed reaching 35-45 kmph gusting to 55 kmph is likely to prevail along and off south tamil Nadu coast. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the gulf of Mannar, south tamil Nadu coasts and adjoining Kanyakumari sea from 24 to 27 October.

A low-pressure area has developed over chennai and the surrounding areas, according to the india Meteorological Department. On Thursday, the weather system is predicted to move north of tamil Nadu and become a depression, bringing with it heavy rains for the following three to four days. Up till Thursday, the weather service urged fishermen not to go into the Bay of bengal and the gulf of Mannar around the shores of tamil Nadu, puducherry, and south Andhra Pradesh.
