For the first time in the history of Himachal, government employees did not get salary on the first date of the month. The situation arose due to the current economic crisis in the state. It is believed that the employees will now have to wait till september 5 for the salary. Himachal is to get 520 crores of revenue deficit grant from the Center. Employees will be able to get salary after the amount comes into the government account on september 5.


It is worth noting that the Himachal government has to spend Rs 1,200 crore every month on the salary of the employees. An amount of Rs 800 crore is also spent on pensioners every month. chief minister sukhwinder singh Sukhu has denied the economic crisis in Himachal Pradesh. He said that economic discipline is being brought in the state. The state government has overcome the economic crisis. Now the state is moving towards self-reliant Himachal Pradesh. He accused the opposition of exaggerating the issue.


What did cm Sukhu say on Himachal's economic crisis?

The chief minister said that the government is fully prepared to discuss the financial situation. He said that the opposition is running away from the discussion. If the opposition is not ready, then the discussion will be organized by the ruling party. He said that the public should know the truth. The chief minister alleged that the trouble has occurred due to the financial mismanagement of the previous government.


'The government is working for resource mobilization'

He also responded to the employees not getting salary till now. chief minister sukhwinder singh Sukhu said that the impact is seen on taking policy decisions. During the previous government, free facilities were also given to the people who pay income tax in the state. The income tax payers wanted that the free facility should be stopped. He said that the state government is providing free facilities to the poor under the scheme. The state government is also working rapidly towards resource mobilization for revenue increase.
