Balineni also won with a huge majority from Ongole. With this, Balineni got the post of minister of Forests, Science and technology in Jaganmohan Reddy's cabinet. balineni srinivasa reddy created history by winning five times as Ongole MLA. Damaracharla was defeated by Janardhan Rao in the 2024 assembly elections.
