Why did bjp not contest the elections with full force?

It seems that the bjp which takes every small and big election very seriously, the bjp which puts its full strength in every small and big election, the bjp which fields its smallest worker and biggest leader in any election, the bjp which has the biggest machinery to win elections, the same bjp is not completely serious about the assembly elections being held in kashmir - SRINAGAR/JAMMU' target='_blank' title='jammu and kashmir-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">jammu and kashmir after 10 years. That too when prime minister Narendra Modi's second term has had a special focus on Jammu and Kashmir. Whether it is about removing article 370 or reorganizing the state of kashmir - SRINAGAR/JAMMU' target='_blank' title='jammu and kashmir-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">jammu and kashmir or improving the image of kashmir - SRINAGAR/JAMMU' target='_blank' title='jammu and kashmir-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">jammu and kashmir on national and international forums, the Modi government worked a lot on this. But when it came to contesting the elections, the bjp fielded its candidates on only 62 out of 90 seats.

Fighting elections on fewer seats in the valley

So what is the compulsion before bjp that it is contesting all 43 seats in Jammu region, but it seems to be contesting only on 19 out of 47 seats in the valley. It has left 28 seats vacant in the valley. What is the reason that has forced bjp not to field candidates in the valley?

Jammu-Kashmir is divided into two regions

The answer to this question can be found by examining two things. First, BJP's politics and second, the valley's demography. bjp has always been accused of doing politics of a particular religion. Whereas the valley's demography is completely different from this narrative created by BJP. According to a statistic, about 97 percent of the population in kashmir valley is Muslim. Jammu-Kashmir is divided into two regions. Jammu region and valley region.

It is very difficult to get votes in the valley

At the same time, the combined population of Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists is also less than 3 percent. In such a situation, it is very difficult for bjp to get votes in the valley through its narrative and bjp knows this very well. That is why even in the recent lok sabha elections, bjp did not field its candidates on any of the three lok sabha seats in the valley. Whereas Jammu is suitable for BJP's politics, so bjp not only fielded its candidates on both the seats but also won. That is why BJP's entire focus is only and only on Jammu, where there are a total of 43 assembly seats and any party needs 46 seats to gain power in Jammu and Kashmir. Therefore, bjp has focused itself on Jammu, while in the valley, bjp is dependent on independents and rebels of PDP-National Conference, where these parties have a good number of votes.
