An FIR has been filed against Ajit Prasad, son of Samajwadi party (SP) mp from faizabad (Ayodhya), Uttar Pradesh, on charges of kidnapping, threatening and assault. police gave this information on Sunday. The SP mp termed the allegations as politically motivated and said that his son is the party candidate for the by-election to be held on the Milkipur assembly seat.
SP mp Awadhesh Prasad, while reacting to the case filed against his son, said that the allegations are baseless and politically motivated. He said, "Akhilesh Yadav (SP President) has made my son a candidate for the Milkipur assembly by-election and SP is winning this seat, due to which bjp is restless." prasad claimed that a fake case has been filed against his son. He accused the bjp of conspiring to suppress the movement against police atrocities in Raunahi police station area. A person named Dukhhi ram died in the movement.
According to the police, an FIR was lodged by a person named ravi Tiwari at the Kotwali city police station here on Saturday. police said that the alleged incident took place on saturday afternoon near the state bank main branch intersection in faizabad city after a dispute over commission in a land purchase. police sources said that the case has been registered under sections 140 (3) (kidnapping), 115 (2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 191 (3) (rioting armed with a deadly weapon), 351 (3) (threatening to kill) of the indian Justice Code (BNS).
