These two schemes of the Urban Administration and Development Department in the state have been renamed after the late Jan Sangh leader Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. Senior state officials said that the names of two schemes run by the chhattisgarh Urban Infrastructure Development Fund have been changed. An order in this regard was issued on september 18 and uploaded on the government website on september 30.
Officials said that the name of rajiv gandhi Swavalamban Yojana in the state has been changed to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Swavalamban Yojana. At the same time, the name of rajiv gandhi Ajeevika Kendra Yojana has been changed to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Ajeevika Kendra Yojana. He said that both the schemes were earlier named after Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, but the previous congress government changed them to rajiv gandhi in 2019. At the same time, deputy chief minister Arun Sai said that earlier these schemes were in the name of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay and now they have been named after him again. Sai also holds the Urban Administration Department.
