Painful accident in Samastipur, truck kept dragging?
A painful road accident took place on saturday on the data-border of Samastipur and Begusarai district. After crushing an old man going on a bicycle on NH 28 in Chiranjeevipur of Begusarai, a postal parcel truck dragged his body for several kilometers and reached Dalsinghsarai of Samastipur district. After getting information about the incident, the local people chased the truck dragging the body along with the bicycle and stopped it in Dalsinghsarai police station area, took out the body from under the truck and caught the fleeing driver and beat him fiercely.
Mob beat up truck driver
On receiving the information, the police of Dalsinghsarai police station and the team of Dial 112 reached the spot and somehow rescued the truck driver who was caught by the mob, took him into custody and admitted him to the sub-divisional hospital for treatment. Here, the police took the body into custody and sent it to Sadar Hospital Samastipur for post-mortem. At the time of writing the news, the deceased could not be identified.

At the time of the incident, the speed of the vehicle was not high, suddenly he started crossing the bicycle due to which he came under the vehicle. He was not aware that he was stuck in the vehicle.
The video of the old man riding a bicycle being dragged by the truck was also captured in a CCTV camera installed on the roadside, which is becoming quite viral. In this regard, Dalsinghsarai SDPO vivek Kumar Sharma said that the truck has been seized and the driver has been taken into custody. The police is engaged in investigating the matter.
