Reportedly on saturday evening, a crocodile suddenly attacked a girl who had gone to catch fish in the Triveni Canal in Harnatand, Bagaha. The girl was seriously injured in the attack and was admitted to Harnatand PHC. Where the doctors, after first aid, seeing the condition critical, referred her to Bettiah GMCH. At the same time, the injured girl has been identified as 14 year old Sugandha Kumari, daughter of Hiralal Musahar, a resident of Sohariya.
Perhaps it is said that Sugandha Kumari had gone to catch fish in the Triveni Canal. During this, a giant crocodile suddenly attacked her. Hearing Sugandha's screams, the nearby villagers reached the spot and attacked the crocodile with sticks and bamboo. It is being told that the crocodile was dragging Sugandha into the river by holding her right hand, seeing which the villagers struggled with the crocodile for a long time. Later the crocodile left her and went back to the canal, but by then Sugandha was badly injured. According to the doctors, the crocodile has chewed Sugandha's right hand badly.
Meanwhile, Dr. rajeev Kumar, who is treating her in the hospital, said that the right hand is badly damaged and after immediate treatment, she has been referred to Bettiah GMCH to save it. There is a terrible flood in the Gandak river. Due to this, crocodiles have come from the Gandak river into the canals. Such incidents have happened earlier in the area of Harnatand, due to which the people of the area are in panic. The administration has appealed to the villagers not to go to the banks of the canals and the Gandak river and to be very cautious.
