Pakistan's Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province Chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur is a prominent leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, who recently went missing from Islamabad. His sudden disappearance had created a situation of tension in Pakistan's politics. Earlier it was believed that he was arrested by Islamabad police, but Pakistan's home minister Mohsin Naqvi denied this and said that he was not detained by any federal agency.

Ali Amin Gandapur went missing from his official residence in Islamabad on Saturday. His family and party people were not able to contact him in any way, after which the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government knocked the door of Peshawar High Court. However, shortly after his disappearance, he suddenly entered the provincial assembly, where he was welcomed with loud slogans and applause.
