The delhi government will solve the problem of waterlogging on New rohtak Road through drain redesigning. chief minister Atishi announced this on monday in the presence of AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal. In the meeting of the Expenditure Finance Committee, chief minister Atishi approved the project costing Rs 183 crore. He said that 9 km of drain will be built afresh on both sides between Nangloi Metro Station and Tikri Border.

cm Atishi said that the New rohtak Road going from Nangloi Metro Station to Tikri Border via Mundka is one of the most dilapidated roads in Delhi. The main reason for the road becoming dilapidated is the rapidly increasing population. The capacity of the drain built on both sides of the road has reduced. He said that this time the monsoon has received almost double the rainfall than normal. Due to the rain, there was more pressure on the infrastructure. He said that the PWD is constructing a new drain along New rohtak Road, which will extend from Nangloi Metro Station to Tikri Border.

The drain will be divided into two parts from Nangloi Metro Station to Tikri Border. He said that the work of repairing the drain project and New rohtak Road will also start in four weeks.

The AAP government is completing the pending work on a war footing under the guidance of Arvind Kejriwal, who has come out of jail. He said that under the project, the width and depth of the drain is being increased according to the needs of the current population.
