Ravan's effigy be burnt on October 12 on occasion of Dussehra
Currently preparations are underway for the burning of a 211 feet tall effigy of Ravana in Delhi. This effigy is the largest effigy of Ravana in Delhi. It has been installed in Dwarka, Delhi. Rs 30 lakh has been spent in making this effigy. For this, 40 artisans have worked continuously for four months. These artists are from Barada village in Haryana.
As per report Ravan's effigy will be burnt on october 12 on the occasion of dussehra, a festival that symbolizes the victory of good over evil. This effigy has been installed at the time of Kalash Sthapana at the DDA Ground in Sector 10, Dwarka on the first day of Navratri. This information was given by Ramlila Committee Chairman Rajesh Gehlot. According to PTI, Rajesh Gehlot said that this is the tallest effigy of Ravana till date, which is 211 feet tall. It is decorated with velvet cloth while it is made of iron. It has been prepared by a team of 40 artisans in four months. The committee has invited PM narendra modi to the program. This committee invites PM Modi every year.
Furthermore Rajesh Gehlot says that there is no answer yet but we hope that he will come. This committee has been organizing the Ravana Dahan program for the last 14 years. This will be the 12th Ravana Dahan because due to Corona we could not celebrate dussehra for two years. Rajesh Gehlot said that no kind of paper has been used to make this effigy. On the other hand, the President of Luv Kush Ramlila Committee said that they have prepared a 120 feet effigy of Ravana for Ravana Dahan. It took two months to make it. Luv Kush Ramlila Committee has made a 100 feet effigy of Meghnad and a 110 feet effigy of Kumbhkarna. It has been made by 18 artisans from UP and Delhi-NCR together.
