What to do if there is stone pelting on the procession?

Sudha Subbiah

On the occasion of vijayadashami on saturday at the Sangh headquarters in Nagpur, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat performed Shastra Puja. During this, in his address, he expressed his relief on issues like Bangladesh, kolkata rape-murder, increasing violent incidents in the country, Israel-Hamas war and stone pelting on processions. In his address, he also gave the mantra to be prepared for future challenges. He also mentioned the work done by Ahilyabai Holkar and Dayanand Saraswati for the service of the country.

Being weak will not work

On the issue of stone pelting on processions, he said that violence that blames the entire community for the misdeeds of one person is not dissatisfaction, but hooliganism. Recently, there was stone pelting on the immersion procession. Why did this happen? The police should have come and handled the situation, but until the police does not come, the society will have to stand up for it. The society will have to data-face it strongly. No one should be intimidated. It is our duty to protect our lives until the police arrives. He further said that I am not saying this to scare anyone. I am not saying this to fight anyone. But the society needs to be strong and vigilant. Being weak will not work.

Maharani Durgavati, Maharani Holkar and Maharishi Dayanand were also remembered

In his address, he said, "Today the Sangh is completing 100 years. This is also special because the 200th birth anniversary year of Maharani Durgavati, Maharani Holkar and Maharishi Dayanand is also going on. It is important to remember them because these people worked in the interest of the country, society and culture." Remembering Dayanand Saraswati, Mohan Bhagwat said, "Dayanand Saraswati was behind the revival of india after a long period of slavery. Understand your roots and behave well in times to come. He has made a great effort to make people aware. Because of him, many movements took place in the future. Today is the time to remember him."
