NIA's big action in VHP leader's murder case!
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on friday (October 11) filed a chargesheet against Babbar Khalsa international (BKI) chief Wadhawa Singh alias Babbar and five other terrorists in the murder case of VHP leader Vikas Bagga. vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Bagga was shot dead by BKI terrorists at his confectionery shop in Nangal in Rupnagar district of punjab on april 13, 2024. The NIA chargesheet also names two other absconding accused along with Babbar and the three arrested accused have been identified as the main culprits of the murder. Of the three arrested accused, two have been identified as shooters Mandeep Kumar alias Mangali and Surinder Kumar alias Rika, both residents of Nawanshahr Punjab.
These sections were imposed on the terrorists
Charge sheets have been filed against both the main culprits under several sections. A case has also been registered under UA(P) Act, IPC and Arms Act. The third arrested accused charged by the NIA is Gurpreet ram alias Gora, who is also a resident of Nawanshahr and a case has been registered against him under the Arms Act. The three absconding accused were the handlers of these arrested accused. Babbar, along with Harjeet Singh alias Ladi of Nawanshahr and Kulbir Singh alias Sidhu of Yamunanagar, Haryana, had provided weapons, ammunition and money etc. to carry out the attack.
Many members had come together for target killing
The NIA has taken over the case. On May 9, 2024, the state police unearthed an international conspiracy of BKI behind this terrorist attack. According to the NIA investigation, several members of the BKI module based in several countries had come together to carry out the targeted murder. The investigation further revealed that from Wadhwa Pakistan, Singh instructed Germany-based Nodus, Harjeet Singh alias Laddi and Kulbir Singh alias Sidhu to commit the murder.
