Metro survey has been completed in Bareilly. 22 km metro corridor will be ready with this project of 6000 crores. Bareilly Development Authority is constantly trying to run metro in Bareilly. RITES has completed the survey.

BDA Vice President Manikandan A said that the people of Bareilly will soon get the facility of metro. Metro corridor will be built to relieve the people of Bareilly from traffic jam and to make the movement smooth. He said that its survey has also been completed. He told that rail India Technical and Economic service (RITES) has submitted its report to Bareilly Vikas Prakar.

RITES has agreed for metro operation

RITES has also agreed on the operation of metro in the study report. Information has been given that metro stations will be built at major intersections. After keeping technical, economic, transport, social and other aspects in its report, RITES has also conducted soil tests of the route of the light metro and metro project. The survey report has agreed to build a 22 km corridor based on the population of 2031.

BDA Vice President Manikandan A said that the RITES report will be presented before the committee headed by the Commissioner. After which the DPR will be prepared. Metro will run from Railway Junction, Chowki Chauraha, Satellite bus Stand, Ruhilkhand University, Fun City, Barrier to Tiraha, in the second route, via Chowki Chauraha, patel Chowk, Qutubkhana Chauraha, Kohadapir, Adinath Tiraha to Barrier to Tiraha. The estimated cost of this project has been fixed at around Rs 6000 crore.
