DDA issued guidelines regarding electricity connection?

After the announcement by Aam Aadmi Party, delhi Development Authority (DDA) on wednesday issued necessary guidelines regarding electricity connection. For this, following the instructions issued by lg Vinay Saxena, DDA has approved the discom to give electricity connection without the need of any NOC. According to the guidelines issued by DDA regarding electricity connection, everyone within the land pooling area under the master Plan of Delhi-2021 will have to follow the Land Pooling Policy of 2018. Barring a few exceptions, unauthorized activities are completely prohibited.

These are the guidelines issued by DDA

People living in urban areas falling under the master Plan of Delhi-2021 can take advantage of this initiative of DDA. A DDA spokesperson confirmed that the discoms are now authorised to suo motu issue new electricity connections for construction within the notified PM-UDAY colonies, Lal Dora and extended Lal Dora areas.

Now electricity connections can also be given in vacant areas of private land which are surrounded by PM-UDAY colonies. Additionally, in cases where permanent electricity connections were already surrendered due to reconstruction, renovation or change in ownership, the discoms are empowered to suo motu issue new connections.

No need for DDA NOC now

According to Dr vikram Singhal, director of Land Pooling in DDA, the discoms no longer need additional NOC or approval from DDA to give electricity connections. delhi Chief minister Atishi had said on wednesday that DDA approval will not be required to get electricity connection and install meters in 1,731 unauthorised colonies of the city.
