Will CCA will be imposed on all liquor mafias?
Reportedly on the deaths due to poisonous liquor in Chhapra and Siwan of bihar, minister of Prohibition Department Ratnesh sada while talking to the media on thursday said that now CCA will be imposed on all liquor mafias. He said that he himself will talk to chief minister Nitish Kumar about it. However, even after so many deaths, the minister is not accepting that this is an administrative failure. In response to the question of journalists, he said that some people have been suspended.
Perhaps today he has made a big announcement. Now CCA will be imposed on all liquor mafias in this entire matter. A proposal will be brought in the cabinet regarding this and talks will be held with chief minister Nitish Kumar regarding the proposal of CCA. After administrative preparations, it has been decided to impose CCA on liquor mafia. The minister also said that if there is a talk of confiscating property in this case, then the property of these people will be confiscated. He said that chief minister Nitish Kumar has implemented the liquor ban law, there is no need to review it anywhere.
Moreover the department is constantly trying to ensure that liquor does not enter bihar from the states which share its data-border with Bihar. Investigation is also being done regarding this. SIT has been formed in this case and 17 people have been arrested so far. Ratnesh sada said that officially 6 people have died in Siwan. Two people have died in Chapra, while 22 people are undergoing treatment. Three people have lost their eyesight. Ratnesh sada said that the police station in-charge and chowkidar of the area in Chapra where this incident took place have been suspended with immediate effect and in Siwan too the police station in-charge and chowkidar have been suspended. He said that action will definitely be taken against whoever is involved in this incident. Departmental action will also be taken against negligent officers.
