BJP polluting Delhi's air and water-CM Atishi cornered?

aam aadmi party targeted bjp fiercely on the issue of pollution. chief minister Atishi said that the aam aadmi party government is constantly working to reduce pollution in delhi, while bjp knows only politics and not working on pollution.

delhi cm Atishi said, "The data of the central government itself says that due to the efforts of the aam aadmi party government in Punjab, incidents of stubble burning have been halved, while incidents of stubble burning have increased continuously in BJP-ruled haryana and UP." cm Atishi said that the AAP government in delhi is rapidly converting public transport buses into electric, while even today all the buses coming from BJP-ruled UP-Haryana to anand vihar depot are diesel, which causes pollution.

'Dirty water coming into yamuna from UP'

chief minister Atishi said that there is not a single brick kiln in delhi, thousands of brick kilns in BJP-ruled Haryana-UP are causing pollution in Delhi. 165 MGD of polluted water of BJP-ruled Haryana's industry is released into Yamuna, while UP also releases 55 MGD of dirty water into Yamuna, which pollutes Yamuna. To eliminate the foam from the yamuna river, the delhi government is starting the spraying of silicon-based food grade defoamer, which reduces the pollution of Yamuna.

Presented the figures of stubble burning

Sharing the figures, cm Atishi said that the indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) of the central government presents the figures of stubble burning every day. These figures show that from october 1 to october 15, 2023, 1123 incidents of stubble burning were reported in Punjab, which has come down by 27% to 811 this year. On the other hand, if we look at the figures in BJP-ruled haryana and Uttar Pradesh, this figure was 341 in haryana last year which has increased by 23% to 417 this year. In Uttar Pradesh, 244 incidents of stubble burning were reported from october 1 to october 15 last year, which has increased by 70% to 417.
