The 26th Constitutional Amendment Bill was passed in the parliament of pakistan on monday (October 21, 2024). Meanwhile, discussions have started about pakistan People's party leader and mp Bilawal Bhutto Zardari becoming the Prime Minister. The reason for this is that he was very active regarding this bill, while he is neither a minister in the government right now nor any member of his party is in the ministerial post. Because of this, many questions were being raised about Bilawal Bhutto's stance. Pakistani expert Qamar Cheema says that Bilawal Bhutto will take oath as the prime minister after one and a half years and the way his party is supporting the government right now, the same kind of support will be given to him when he becomes the PM. He says that the kind of activism Bilawal Bhutto has shown for the amendment bill right now, this is the reason why he will also be given similar support in the coming times. Qamar Cheema said, 'The pakistan government brought an amendment bill in the National parliament to bring the supreme court under its control. Although the government did not have the votes in the parliament, it kept the senators and members of the National assembly of other parties with itself. It was also heard that many parties claim that their members were kidnapped.'

According to the report of The Dawn, to pass this bill, the National assembly sat for 11:30 pm on sunday night to 5 am on monday (Pakistan time) and the bill was passed with one third vote in both the houses. Now the bill has been sent to President Asif ali Zardari for approval. During this time, members of Imran Khan's pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf walked out of the assembly. Qamar Cheema said that many people say that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will be the new prime minister of Pakistan. In the current set-up, Bilawal Bhutto will be the prime minister for two and a half years and Shahbaz Sharif for two and a half years.

He said, 'One question was being raised repeatedly that why Bilawal Bhutto wanted to amend the constitution. His father is the President. None of his men are a part of the government, but they have supported the government. After one and a half years, when Bilawal Bhutto becomes the prime minister, the current government will support him and someone else will be the President. It is possible that Maulana Fazal ul Rehman of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind may become the President.' Qamar Cheema said, 'Bilawal does not have any ministry at this time. This time he was not given the foreign ministry and neither is there any minister from his party. Still Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was so active in this whole matter. This work should be done by the government and ministers, why is Bilawal doing it. Questions are being raised about all this, it means that he has been asked to do this, if you do this work then you will benefit. Tomorrow you will be helped. I feel that the way Bilawal is working on this amendment, he will be the next Prime Minister.'
