21 Bangladeshi nationals arrested in Pune

police have arrested 21 Bangladeshi nationals living illegally in a village in pune district of Maharashtra. The Anti-Terrorism Branch raided the Karegaon area near Ranjangaon MIDC area in pune district on the basis of secret information. During this, 15 men, four women and two transgenders were arrested. These people had got fake PAN cards, Aadhaar cards and fake voter IDs made.

According to pune Rural SP Pankaj Deshmukh, a case has been registered against the accused at Ranjangaon MIDC police station. After the arrest, the accused were produced in court today (Wednesday). The court has sent ten such accused to custody. Some of them were living here for six months and some for 10 years.

Investigation is being done from all angles

The reasons for these Bangladeshi citizens entering india and their background are being investigated to see if they are associated with any terrorist organization. Along with this, those who provided fake documents to these people are also being traced. At the same time, why the Bangladeshi citizens were living in India. This is also being investigated. However, some of these citizens used to work as laborers. During the investigation, it has also been found that some of these citizens have entered india through various illegal routes. Some of them crossed the West bengal data-border and some entered india through the sea route.

8 Bangladeshi women were also arrested

Earlier in the month of September, eight Bangladeshi women living illegally in thane district were also arrested. Out of these, seven women were arrested from Navi mumbai and one woman was arrested from Ambarnath. nri police station raided Karave village in Navi mumbai on the basis of an information. During this, seven women living in two rooms were arrested.
