2 more accused arrested in Baba Siddiqui murder case
In the case of murder of senior ncp leader and former maharashtra minister baba Siddiqui, mumbai Crime Branch on thursday arrested two more suspects Aditya Gudnkar and Rafiq Shaikh from Pune. With this, the total number of accused arrested in this case so far has gone up to 18. Earlier on Wednesday, mumbai Crime Branch arrested Gaurav Appune (23) from Pune. During the investigation, the police came to know that Gaurav had met other accused several times to plan the murder of baba Siddiqui.
The accused were in contact with praveen Lonkar
According to the report, both the suspects, who are residents of Pune, have been arrested in Pune. It is being told that both the arrested suspects were in contact with praveen Lonkar, who allegedly provided them with about 30 pistol bullets. The suspects have been brought to mumbai and will be produced in court.
The witness also received a threatening call
Earlier, a witness in the baba Siddiqui murder case received a threatening call of Rs 5 crore. police had said that the caller is said to be a member of the lawrence Bishnoi gang. An FIR has been registered at Khar police station based on the complaint. The witness had told the police that a few days ago he received a threatening call from an unknown person, demanding Rs 5 crore. The caller had threatened that if he did not give the money, he would kill him.
police in search of mastermind
Meanwhile, the mumbai police Crime Branch is conducting massive raids in search of Zeeshan Akhtar, the mastermind of the murder. Five police teams are engaged in the search of Akhtar. The weapons used in the murder were reportedly brought from Rajasthan. Five weapons have been seized so far.
The murder took place on 12 October

The gang says that baba Siddiqui was murdered because of his close relationship with actor salman Khan.
