DM's meeting on rising pollution in Lucknow

With the increase in cold, fog is also increasing and the amount of air pollution has increased as compared to earlier. In view of this, a review meeting was held in lucknow regarding the air pollution control plan action plan prepared by the Uttar Pradesh pollution Control Board. lucknow district Magistrate Suryapal Gangwar was also present in this meeting. He brainstormed on special action plans for lucknow and instructed the officials.

DM Suryapal Gangwar directed that the unusable items present there during the ongoing construction work in lucknow be sent to the CND Waste Plant so that they can be disposed of as soon as possible. Regarding the air pollution caused by traffic jams, he directed the district school Inspector and Basic education Officer to declare school holidays at different times.

Instructions given to spray water

The DM has also instructed the nagar Nigam to spray water on the unpaved roads located at the intersections where there is traffic jam. The DM also asked to see the operating time of the industries running in lucknow and said that for the next 15 days the industries should be operated at different times. If the air Quality Index improves, then this process should be extended to 3 months.

What did the district Agriculture Officer say?

In this meeting, the district Agriculture Officer also told about the burning of stubble that a monitoring committee is being formed at the block level to prevent stubble burning. This committee will inform the farmers about the harm caused by burning stubble and the benefits of not burning it. At the same time, farmers will also be informed about the penalty imposed for burning stubble. Along with this, the accountability of the Agriculture Department employee posted at the block where stubble will be burnt will also be fixed.
