Campaigning for the second phase ends in Jharkhand!

Campaigning for 38 seats in the second and last phase of jharkhand assembly elections ended on monday evening. Voting will be held on these seats on november 20. These include 18 seats each from Santhal Pargana division and North Chotanagpur division and two seats from South Chotanagpur division. Eight seats in this phase are reserved for scheduled tribes and three for Scheduled Castes, while the number of general seats is 27.

Major candidates of the second phase of jharkhand assembly elections

The major candidates of this phase include cm Hemant Soren as JMM candidate from Barhet seat, bjp state president and first cm of the state Babulal Marandi on Rajdhanwar seat, JMM star campaigner Kalpana Soren from Gandey seat, assembly Speaker ravindra Nath Mahato as JMM candidate on Nala seat, leader of Opposition in the assembly Amar Bauri on Chandankiyari seat, congress candidate minister Deepika Pandey Singh on Mahagama seat, congress quota minister Irfan Ansari in Jamtara, JMM quota minister Hafizul Hasan in Madhupur, minister Baby Devi as JMM candidate on Dumri seat, AJSU party chief Sudesh Mahato on Silli seat and cm Hemant Soren's brother Basant Soren on Dumka seat.

JMM hoisted the flag in 2019

In the elections held on these seats in 2019, JMM won the maximum number of 13 seats, while 12 seats went to BJP's account. congress won 8 seats, jharkhand Vikas Morcha and AJSU party won 2-2 seats and CPIML won 1 seat. In this phase, a total of 528 candidates are in the fray, whose fate will be decided by a total of 1 crore 23 lakh 58 thousand 195 voters. A total of 14,218 polling stations have been set up on all these seats, where polling parties will reach by the evening of 19 November. There are 31 highly sensitive polling stations, where voting will take place only from 7 am to 4 pm. Apart from these, voting can be done at all other centers till 5 pm.
