Why contempt proceedings should not be initiated against Sundar Pichai - Mumbai Court
As per report a new problem has arisen in front of Sundar Pichai, CEO of google, one of the world's largest tech companies. A court in the financial capital Mumbai has issued a contempt notice to google CEO Sundar Pichai. This notice has been issued for not following the court order on a video of Google's video streaming giant platform YouTube.
Meanwhile the court had earlier ordered YouTube to remove the allegedly derogatory video targeting the NGO Dhyan Foundation and its founder yogi Ashwini and YouTube has not followed this earlier order, due to which Sundar Pichai is facing this notice. The next hearing of the case filed by Dhyan Foundation against Google-owned YouTube will be on january 3, 2025.
The Additional Chief Justice of the court has asked why contempt proceedings should not be initiated against Sundar Pichai for contempt of court and non-compliance of its earlier order. In fact, despite the order to remove the video, the video titled 'Pakhandi baba Ki Kartoot' can still be seen outside India. The Dhyan Foundation claimed in its petition that Google-owned YouTube has deliberately not removed the objectionable video. Due to this, an attempt is being made to tarnish the reputation of the NGO and its founder, while their organization is an NGO focused on animal welfare. google has deliberately damaged the impeccable character and reputation of Dhyan Foundation and yogi Ashwini ji. For this, google was adopting a delaying strategy and was seeking adjournments on small grounds.
