Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said in a press conference on sunday (08, December, 2024) that his group was stopped from moving peacefully towards Delhi. haryana Police used tear gas and rubber bullets, injuring 6 farmers. He accused the government of defaming the farmers and avoiding talks. Pandher said that today's group has been called back and the decision on further strategy will be taken on monday (09 December). He also criticized the internet shutdown and ban on media.

Sarwan Singh Pandher said, "We have decided that both the forums will have a meeting tomorrow. What is happening in Khanauri, Dabwali? What is the condition of the injured and when will the group go towards delhi, we will tell tomorrow evening." He said that both the forums have decided that today's group should be called back. For example, after 12 o'clock till 3:45, our group tried to move towards delhi peacefully. We knew that 101 people do not have the strength that the government had arranged earlier.

'The government wants to defame the farmers of the country'

Farmer leader Pandher further said, "We believe that the government feels that it has the capability to do the biggest propaganda in the world. Like by shutting down the internet in schools in Ambala and saying that they will come to haryana and create riots. They feel that we will defame the farmers of the country. That is why they are not talking to us."

'There was an attempt to make the farmers unconscious'

The farmer leader said that we had heard about Khalistani, Naxalite. Today we also heard Talibani from Bittu. We maintained discipline. DGP haryana said that the media should be kept 1 km away. In the morning, punjab Police stopped the media, then 2 minutes after showering flowers, fired tear gas shells and rubber bullets. Poisonous gas was released. The whole attempt was to make the farmers unconscious. Today 6 farmers were injured.
