Jagannath temple’s Ratna Bhandar in news this year - opened for value assessment

According to sources Puri's jagannath temple is famous in the country as well as all over the world and the news about the donations received in it is surprising. This temple is one of the temples with the highest offerings in the country and the news of donations received by this temple in the last 3 years proves it again. The jagannath temple located in puri has received donations worth Rs 113.02 crore in the last three financial years. On Saturday, odisha Law minister prithviraj Harichandan clarified in the assembly that the temple has received religious donations from donation boxes, bank accounts and other sources. Recently, questions were raised in the odisha assembly on the donations of Jagannath puri and the state government answered it in the House. Puri's jagannath temple is one of the four Dhams. Here Lord krishna is seated with his elder brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra.

Meanwhile in a written reply to a question, prithviraj Harichandan said that the temple received Rs 40.61 crore through donation boxes, Rs 59.79 crore through bank accounts and Rs 12.60 crore from other sources from 2021-22 to 2023-24.

Moreover jagannath temple received the highest donation of Rs 50.80 crore in 2022-23 while it received Rs 44.90 crore in 2023-24 and Rs 17.31 crore in 2021-22. This year, the Ratna Bhandar of Puri's jagannath temple was in the news which was opened after 46 years. Earlier, all the four gates of the temple were opened and after religious rituals, the Ratna Bhandar of the temple was opened after 46 years in the auspicious muhurat, after which the total value of gold, silver, jewels and other precious items present in it was assessed.
