Lathi-baazi used in protest against playing vulgar songs
During Dwar Char in UP's Kaushambi, drunken baraatis and gharaatis clashed with each other in protest against playing vulgar songs on dj band. There was heavy lathi-baazi between them. When the bride's cousin tried to intervene, the crowd started beating him mercilessly. The young man fell on the ground bleeding due to the beating. Angry villagers chased away the baraatis and they fled from the spot when they got the chance.
Relatives took the injured young man to the district hospital for treatment. Where doctors declared him dead. The family of the deceased was informed about the incident, they reached the hospital and took the body home. In the morning, the police was informed about the incident. After receiving the information, the police reached and took the body in their custody and sent it for post-mortem. The death of the young man caused an uproar among the family members. The deceased has three children. He had gone to attend the wedding of his wife's aunt's daughter.
What did the officers say on the incident? ASP Rajesh Kumar Singh said that today the police received information in the morning that Bablu Pasi, a resident of Karari police station area, was with his family at his relative's place in Kokhraj police station area where there was a wedding. There was a fight between the wedding party and the family members over dancing and singing on the DJ. He got in between and got injured in the fight that took place. The family took him to the hospital for treatment, where he died. The family informed in the morning. The police reached the spot and took the dead body into custody and sent it to the mortuary. When the family gives a complaint, a case will be registered on that basis and further action will be taken.
