Andhra Pradesh

However, this quota is for private jobs with a monthly salary of less than Rs 30,000. This bill got the approval of the governor in march 2021. After this it was implemented about 3 years ago. This law would have been applicable to all companies, societies, trusts, limited liability partnership firms, partnership firms. However, last november the court had rejected the quota bill. The court also said that the state cannot discriminate against individuals 'on the basis of the fact that they do not belong to a particular state.' After this, the haryana government approached the supreme court with the matter.
Jharkhand
The hemant Soren-led jharkhand government passed a bill providing 75 per cent reservation for locals in posts with monthly salary up to Rs 40,000 in the private sector. According to this, employers will register employees whose gross monthly salary does not exceed Rs 40,000 on a special portal within three months of the implementation of the Act. Also, every employer will fill 75 per cent of the total existing vacancies on and after the date of notification of this Act in respect of such posts where the salary or wages do not exceed Rs 40,000 by local candidates.
