Congress and BJP should not go into history – Aditya Thackeray
Reportedly shiv sena (UBT) leader Aditya thackeray has advised congress along with bjp on the issue of Veer Savarkar and Jawaharlal Nehru. uddhav Thackeray's son Aditya said on saturday (14 December) that congress and bjp should stop using jawaharlal nehru or Vinayak Damodar Savarkar for their politics. According to a PTI report, he said, "Congress and bjp should stop blaming jawaharlal nehru or Vinayak Damodar Savarkar for their politics and instead talk about the future."
Meanwhile when asked about the criticism of Veer Savarkar by leader of Opposition in lok sabha rahul gandhi, uddhav thackeray said, "The discussion on the Constitution should focus on the future of the country." He said, "You must have heard (Congress leader) priyanka ji (saying) how long will you keep citing Nehru. I agree with her. Both congress and bjp are national parties and they should not go into the past, into history. They should talk about the future of the country.''
Moreover shiv sena MP Shrikant Shinde attacked shiv sena (UBT) and said that I have to ask shiv sena (UBT) along with congress that rahul gandhi always says nonsense about Veer Savarkar ji, do you accept his words? He also said, ''Those who always insult Veer Savarkar, I have just reminded them what former prime minister Indira gandhi ji had said about Veer Savarkar? In lok sabha, rahul gandhi claimed that Hindutva ideologue Vinayak Damodar Savarkar had said about the Constitution that there is nothing indian in it. The leader of Opposition in lok sabha on saturday attacked the government in the house and alleged that the way Eklavya's thumb was cut, in the same way today the thumbs of the youth of the country are being cut.
